CNC machined brass top hat bushes available in a range of bores, and suitable to protect softer sideframe materials from metal axles. Drawing (above right) shows the 3mm bore version, all bushes have the same external case dimensions.

Sold in packs of eight bushes, sufficient for 4 axles (ie two 4-wheel trucks or one bogie vehicle), all bushes are £2 (inc VAT) per pack.

* Journal size on Accucraft wheelsets varies - all those we have tested will run comfortably in a 1/8inch bore, but some axles are smaller, and a closer fit may be obtained with a 3mm bush.

Accucraft 45mm Gauge Metal Wheels

Insulated steel wheels and axles as used by Accucraft on their UK outline BMS range. Available in two diameters, 25mm Lynton and Barnstaple 3 hole disc, and 30mm Welshpool and Llanfair 6 hole disc.

Please note we do not stock the 32mm gauge version of this product.

NB. Accucraft axles are generally longer than Aristocraft/USA Trains/LGB etc, at 73-76mm. For scratchbuilders this is not generally a problem, but if the wheelsets are used as replacements on a vehicle by one of these manufacturers, it may be necessary to shorten the axle. Accucraft wheelsets are supplied assembled, in packs containing four wheels on two axles (ie, sufficient for one 4-wheel truck), and cost £4.25 (inc VAT) per pack.

Axles weigh up to 90g per pack even before packing, so please add £2.50 P&P for up to two packs, and an additional 25p per extra pack thereafter. All consignments are sent royal mail signed for / independant courier depending on weight.
