Piko 45mm Gauge Four Wheel Motor Blocks

Left - BR94/194 Block : Centre - BR218/Taurus Block : Right - BR218/110/204/298 Block

Self-contained power trucks as used by Piko under their G scale range, ideal and economical running gear for either modern diesel and electric outline locomotives, or older units fitted with tramway skirts.

All have approxmately 98mm wheelbase, all wheel drive/pickup and sliding pickup shoes. The Taurus and BR110 units are identical except for the cosmetic face of the wheels (see picture). See datasheets for more detailed dimensions.

PLEASE NOTE, Piko are in the process of changing over production from their original style motor blocks to improved versions with ball bearings on the axles. This affects the Taurus (BR182), BR218, BR110 family, V60 and BR80/US saddle tank. In each case, new and old blocks are externally identical and can be swapped like for like. We will continue to supply the old type as a more economical option while stocks remain available, but some types are already discontinued.

Power trucks and motor blocks are all in our £5 Shipping band for any combination and quantity, see the purchase page for details. All consignments are sent Royal Mail signed for / independent courier depending on weight and value.

Spare Parts :

For many lower powered and light duty locomotives, a single power truck is often enough - we hold stock of most types of Piko wheelsets to allow users to build up matching dummy trucks, please enquire for availability.
