Based on a thoroughly re-engineered Aristocraft diesel motor block, this robust self contained unit is ideal for small diesels and County Donegal style railcars. It can also be used for inside cylinder steam locomotives where disc wheels are required and provide a completely self contained ready to run solution for scratchbuilders. Wheelbase is 98mm (3.86 inches), and wheel diameter is 35mm (1.38 inches) - the power unit alone will negotiate 5 foot diameter (approx 1500mm diameter) or 2.5 foot radius (approx 750mm radius) curves - LGB R2 or greater. This unit is available to 45mm gauge (Gauge 1 / G45) only.
The complete power block costs £120 (inc. VAT) and is available with the coupling rods in black (main picture), red (lower picture of the tram), or grey.
